Honey Harvest by women and youth

Bees and trees are among nature’s most powerful partners in regenerating ecosystems. Bees are essential pollinators that sustain biodiversity, improve crop yields, and strengthen food systems, while fruit trees restore degraded landscapes, enrich soils, sequester carbon, and provide nutritious food and sustainable livelihoods.

Honey Harvest by women and youth
At One Earth Generation, we are proud to celebrate another successful honey harvest by the women and youth of Mundaya, Busia County. This achievement reflects what is possible when communities are empowered with practical, nature-based solutions that deliver environmental, social, and economic benefits.

The beekeeping and fruit tree initiative is doing more than producing honey. It is creating opportunities for income generation, enhancing pollination for farms and orchards, restoring local ecosystems, and inspiring community stewardship of natural resources. Every hive and every tree planted contributes to healthier landscapes and stronger, more resilient livelihoods.

Congratulations to the dedicated women and youth of Mundaya for this milestone. Your commitment and hard work are demonstrating that ecosystem regeneration and sustainable livelihoods can grow hand in hand.
